Here's a bit about ReVamped:

A simple mission turned deadly.

Nineteen-year-old vampire Dawn has led a sheltered life within the confines of her father’s presidential headquarters. Upon being sent on a mission to revamp four goofy misfits into guardians of a peaceful little town of Angel Creek, Dawn believes that all her dreams have finally come true. What starts off as a simple task, turns into something unexpected, changing Dawn’s life forever and leading the action-loving, thrill-seeking vampire teen on a path of mystery, danger and intrigue.

When a human girl is kidnapped by a group of rogue vamps, Dawn discovers that there is more going on in Angel Creek than meets the eye. And it all connects to Ethan, the cute newcomer who seems too perfect to be true, Sebastian, the mysterious vampire with a turbulent past, and even Dawn herself. Dawn must not only succeed in revamping the troubled recruits, but must also prevent the vampire race from being overtaken by a malevolent villain who has a strange and obsessive fascination with her. As threat escalates, romance blooms, and ghosts from her past begin to surface, Dawn is sure of only one thing: her life will never be the same.

Author Interview: Ada Adams

Today, I'm interviewing the awesome Ada Adams, author of ReVamped!
Oh, don't forget to join us again tomorrow for a giveaway of her great book!!

I just wanted to start this interview by saying I really believe you have done something that is very creative and fresh in this genre that Is extremely popular today, well done.  I cannot wait to get my hands on the sequel.
Thank you very much! It means a lot to hear that from readers! :)

1.)    So you are the mastermind behind Blood Cola and Blood Vodka and such flavored beverages, what do you imagine them tasting like?
I honestly can't imagine them tasting very good due to the "blood" component, haha! However, if there was a more human Blood Cola drink, I could see it tasting a little like cherry-flavored soda, for some reason. Overall, since the vampires in ReVamped are worshiped and live in a very consumer-oriented society, I think that Blood Cola and Blood Vodka would be made from very high-end ingredients and would have much marketing devoted to the brands.

2.)    I love that all your characters have such deep backstories. Do you ever think you will consider doing a novella, of maybe the President’s story? Or having a novella about Aurora?
Thank you! What you have learned about the characters in ReVamped is only the tip of the iceberg. I don't believe in cramming too much background information into a story, therefore I wanted my readers to get to know the Misfits, Dawn, Sebastian, Ethan and at a gradual pace. In the sequel, we will find out more about their backgrounds, as well as see some of the characters' pasts catch up with their presents.

Novellas would definitely be something I would consider doing if there was enough interest from the readers. I would love to share more about Hunter! He's such a silent guy, with a really interesting past, so a novella from his perspective would be very fun to write. In fact, all of the characters' stories have a lot of potential, as they would provide the readers with an opportunity to explore the characters' own thoughts and voices, instead of just seeing them through Dawn's eyes.

3.)    There was a very small part of werewolves in ‘ReVamped’ any plans to have them play a bigger part or are you keeping strictly to vampires and humans?
The werewolves do not play a part in the sequel (there's another storyline that takes precedence), however it's something that I'm open to exploring in the future. I really liked Leif--he cracked me up!

4.)    I think it was absolute brilliance that you came up with the Scarlet House, a whole separate world living side by side with the humans. I have to wonder how did you come up with the Scarlet House and having a President and government of the vampires?
In ReVamped, humans and vampires coexist peacefully (most of the time, anyway). I felt the need for some sort of a vampire governing body that would enable for this peace between humans and vampires to subsist. Since the vampires' "coming out" was a result of the humans' obsession with vampires and pop culture, there was no doubt that they would be well-received by most of the public. However, since there are unfortunately both bad vampires and bad people in the world, some laws and regulations had to be put into effect in order to maintain the well-being of both societies. A political structure similar to the one we have in the US (or Canada) came to mind. As a result, the Scarlet House was born. It took a while to think of the perfect name. It came about as an idea for what the vampire president's press office would have wanted to name the structure for publicity purposes. "Just like the White House, except in a more vampiric sense."

5.)    What do you think would happen if vampires actually came out into the real world?
I believe that, just like in ReVamped, many people would treat them like celebrities. I'm sure some would yearn to be turned. At the same time, I can see how others would have negative feelings towards vampires actually existing, especially if some of the more gruesome lore would turn out to be true. Ideally, I would hope that our two societies could find a way to coexist peacefully, without any bloodshed  (okay, some wanted "necking" could be allowed)! ;)

Thank you very much for having me! What a fun interview!

About Ada Adams:

Review:

Rating:
So as we all know the vampire phenomenon has taken the world by storm and there are plenty of books out there with vampire love stories. We have read about sparkling vampires, and vampires who fall in love with humans, and all of that good stuff. I have been an avid reader of the vampire series that continue to come out so you can rest assured that this review is honest and accurate when I say; this was such a refreshing book. ‘Revamped’ brought something absolutely new to this genre. I loved the characters, I loved how fresh and new the idea was, it was really captivating. I haven’t read anything like ‘Revamped’ I mean this book has the vampire living out in the open with humans, it has a vampire president, and vampire products that are found in grocery stores such as Blood Cola and Blood Vodka. They aren’t very fond of feeding from the live source anymore of course. It was more about the story of the main character and her mission, not a love story. That's what I really loved, I mean, does every single vampire book have to be a love story? I think not! This book was beautifully and creatively written!

It kept me on the edge of my seat. The plot kept thickening with twists and turns. It was such a thrilling book, I could easily see a series being made out of this book and it being huge. ‘Revamped’ is the next big thing in vampire books. I would keep your eyes on Ada Adams because she has created something massively powerful here. Wonderful, refreshing, inspiring, absolutely loved it. I would highly recommend it for all you vampire followers out there! A big five stars for ‘Revamped’!
